The Tree Board is a town appointed advisory group providing guidance, advice and input to the Town Administrator, Board of Trustees, and Town staff to develop and maintain a healthy urban forest.
- The board’s responsibilities include selection, planting, removal, care, maintenance and management of trees on public properties, within the town limits.
- In addition to these duties the Tree Board prepares the Tree City USA application to maintain the Town of Paonia's status as a Tree City USA community, as approved by the National Arbor Day Foundation.
- The Tree Board supports and promotes healthy horticultural practices for our climate through public education, community events and outreach.
