FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Delta County Clerk and Recorder Launches Ballot Verifier to Promote Election Transparency
A searchable platform offering comprehensive candidate and ballot question records, built from ongoing historical data compilation efforts.

Delta County, CO (April 16, 2025)——The Delta County Clerk and Recorder’s Office, led by Clerk Teri Stephenson, has launched a new tool called the Ballot Verifier. This user-friendly system lets residents view digital images of ballots from recent elections, giving the public even more confidence in the voting process.
“With the Ballot Verifier, anyone can take a look at how ballots were marked and counted,” said Teri Stephenson. “It’s one more way we’re making sure our elections are open, accurate, and trustworthy.”
The Ballot Verifier allows community members to:
- See scanned images of actual ballots (with no identifying information).
- Check how votes were counted.
- Access everything easily through the Clerk’s website.
Delta County is one of several counties in Colorado adding this feature to give voters more insight into how elections are run.
“We want people to feel good about the process,” Stephenson added. “We work hard to make sure every vote is counted correctly, and now our community members can see that for themselves.”
The Ballot Verifier will be available starting with the 2024 Presidential Primary Election and will be updated for future elections.
It can be accessed on the Delta County website at https://electionstats.deltacountyco.gov/.
