The sidewalk fee that was started January 1st, 2014 sunsets on December 31, 2024. The continuation of this fee will be on the ballot for the November 5th General Election.

In-Town residents can turn in an application, along with a letter of interest, to the Town Clerk by Wednesday, September 18th, 2024, at 4:30PM.
CDOT contractors will begin rockfall mitigation work next week along CO Hwy 133 between Paonia and Carbondale, near the Paonia State Park and Reservoir. This preventative maintenance is part of our continuing efforts to decrease the chances of future unexpected rockfall incident

The Town would like to express its extreme gratitude to Bob Bushta and Tina Walker for their generous donation of new American Flags. Public Works will be putting up the flags along Grand Avenue today.
The new speed limit signs are here and will be installed over the course of the next few weeks. We encourage drivers to be aware of the new signage as speeds have been reduced across town and several yield signs are being replaced with stop signs. The Paonia Police Department is understanding of the changes and will be educating drivers with verbal warnings in lieu of citations when appropriate.
